Shaddy Co., Ltd. received the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award from the Japan Post Corporation under the program of commendation for cooperation and assistance in Postal Services Day projects. The sales function of the commercial wholesaling division was integrated into UCC Foods Co., Ltd. Kikusui Souhonten Corporation, a long-standing purveyor of Japanese confections in Kobe, became a subsidiary of the UCC Group. |

The UCC Coffee Academy, an institution that promotes a systematic approach to learning about coffee, was opened within the UCC Coffee Museum. The Kita-Kanto Factory obtained ISO 14001 certification. The Kakegawa Factory of Homer Corporation Co., Ltd. obtained ISO 9001 certification. Lucky Cremas Co., Ltd. acquired goodwill for i-Link, and changes its trading name to Lucky iCremas. UCC supports WBC & SCAJ 2007. The Osaka Factory obtains ISO 22000 certification. Our directly managed P.T.UCC Lintong Mandheling Coffee Estate in Indonesia obtained Rain Forest Alliance certification, making it the first coffee estate in Asia to do so. UCC acquired the right of trademark use and goodwill for Caffé Greco. Enicil Co., Ltd., a big all-around gift wholesaler, became a subsidiary of the UCC Group. |
