About UCC Group's
Online SDGs Seminars

Applications are open for elementary school,
junior high school, high school, and university students interested
in participating in its online seminars.

Our seminars focus mainly on introducing UCC Group initiatives in coffee
in the context of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The seminars allow participants to think about seemingly complex subjects through the familiar lens of coffee.

■ About the SDGs

The SDGs are a set of global objectives covering a wide range of pressing issues that the world is working to solve by the year 2030.
Many of the challenges facing Japan and the coffee industry today are included within the SDGs.

Minimum 10 (consultation required for groups under 10)

  • 1.Any school in Japan can apply.
  • 2.Seminars are intended for a wide range of students from elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university classes.
  • 3.The content of the curriculum and length of each seminar may be adjusted upon consultation with UCC.
  • 4.Participation is free.
  • 5.Following the seminar, UCC will send the participating school a certificate of participation (PDF).

Process from Application to Seminar

    Anytime

    The school's representative applies online using the application form.

  • 02

    Within 3 Days of Applying

    UCC sends an email to the school's representative confirming the desired content for the seminar. The date and content of the seminar are then decided and the computer operating environment confirmed.

  • 03

    One Week before the Seminar

    UCC sends a URL for the online seminar as well as a final confirmation of the seminar's content by email.

  • 04

    Day of the Seminar

    The seminar is held.

  • 05

    After the Seminar

    UCC sends a survey to the school's representative along with a certificate of participation (PDF).
    *The certificate of participation will be made out in the school's name. Names of individuals will not be included.

  • 06

    Following the Survey

    The seminar process is complete once the school's representative has filled out the survey.
